Potato Mania

This weekend will be the start of something big….and by that, I mean we have a ton of potatoes this year! Our CSA members may have already enjoyed their first dose of Pontiac Reds and I hope they enjoyed the lovely flavor of the potatoes with some of the chives we included in their bags this week.

If you haven’t planted potatoes, but you have some spare room in your garden and are interested…don’t be afraid. They are quite fun to plant and watch grow. Once the plant flowers, you should be able to start harvesting baby new potatoes.

For market, we’ll have Pontiac Reds as well as some lettuce, spinach, basil, parlsey, a few peas, Swiss chard, and kale.

And, coming soon to the market….beans. Lots and lots of beans.
