When asparagus starts popping through the ground, our excitement for the season ahead really starts to heighten. We’ve been harvesting a little. A few leaves of over-wintered spinach for sandwiches, sprigs of thyme, and chives. But, asparagus can make a meal. Our first spear is generally eaten in the garden, fresh-picked and this year was no exception. Matt and I ate our first spears this morning. We’re excited for more to come!
